2017年より開催されている"Shibuya Showcase Fest"が今年も決定！
このフェスティバルは、「渋谷をグローバルで先進的な音の町に変貌させたい」という思いから、
欧米やアジアに於いて注目度の高い独立系アーティストの招聘をし、渋谷で連日ライブを繰り広げるというもの。
今回も総勢２０組を超えるアーティストのライブが予定されています。
Jazz.Net的に特に注目しているのが9/27（木）SARAVAH東京にて行われる、
「世界のジャズ (日本、フランス、カナダ、イラン) LED BY TOMOAKI BABA」。
このTOMOAKI BABAとはテレビ朝日"報道ステーション"のテーマ曲を担当するスーパーバンド、
" J Squad "の若手サックス奏者、馬場智章さんのこと。
現在NYを拠点に活躍する彼のカルテットを観ることのできるレアな機会です。
このほか、世界のジャズを堪能することができるスペシャルな一夜となっています。
これから注目されるであろう世界のミュージシャンの見本市ともいえるこのイベント、

シャンソン、コンテンポラリージャズ、ワールドミュージックを焦点を於いた9月27日のSaravah Tokyoのライブでは、日本でも知名度のあるNouvelle Vague (France)のボーカルMarina Celeste（マリーナセレステ）を初め、海外で現在注目を浴びるアーティストが出演。日本からは、2016年 4月よりリニューアル放送を開始したテレビ朝日"報道ステーション"のテーマ曲を自身も所属するバンド " J Squad "で手掛け、同年11月に UNIVERSAL MUSIC JAPANよりアルバム"J-Squad "をリリースしたり、FUJI ROCKなどでも公演した実績のあるサックス奏者馬場智章が出演。

Marina Celesteはシンガーソングライターであり、歌手である。2004年に大成功を収めた有名バンドNouvelle Vagueに参加していたことで知られる。彼女は過去に３枚のソロアルバムを発表し、主にヨーロッパと日本で販売された。彼女は今、次の新しいアルバム"Punky Lady"の制作に取り掛かっている。 "官能的で時にエキセントリックな喜びがNouvelle Vagueから飛び出した" 彼女の頭は常に雲の中にあるようで、いつでもペンかブラシを握っている。彼女は常日頃から絵にしたり、口ずさんだりして、自身の曲を書き続けてきた。幼い頃に父を亡くした彼女の頭の中には、人生の危うさと尊さが刻み込まれている。一日一日を大切にしなくさせる。
Marina Celeste is a singer and a song writter, merly famous for her participation with the famous band Nouvelle Vague, wich met a huge succes in 2004. She did 3 solo albums which sold mainly in Europe and Japan. She prepares her new album now, Punky Lady'. " The sensual and sometimes eccentric delights of an escaped of Nouvelle Vague". Her head in the clouds, a pen or paintbrush in her hand, she has always written and composed her own songs, drawn and hummed her way through life. The death of her father in her early childhood imprinted upon her the precariousness and preciousness of life. The urgency to appreciate the everyday.

彼の洗練された８弦ギターさばきは称賛に値する。Thomas Carbouはベテランのミュージシャンだ。彼のまぎれもない即興の感覚と人を驚かせたいという欲望が、音楽という国境を越えて文化とスタイルを見事に調和させる。彼が驚かせるのはギタリストや作曲家、編曲家、さらにはパーカッショニストやサンプラーにまで及ぶ。彼はよくジャズやエレクトロ、伝統曲や世界の曲、フォークの要素を組み合わせながら、我々を彼の大胆かつ心地よくも複雑なメッセージ性と共に世界旅行に誘うのだ。
近年、Thomas Carbouは数多くの国際的なアーティストとのコラボレーションを成功させてきた（フランス、スイス、ベルギー、スペイン、ベトナム、アメリカ、カナダなど）。2007年のBourse RIDEAUでは彼のアルバム「IN MOTION」がthe Ville de Québec's Creation/Residence Awardを受賞。数年後の2010年、Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette (Le Ring et Les Petits géants)監督のDenis Villeneuve氏にまつわるドキュメンタリー映画「Remembering the Ashes - Regards sur Incendies」のオリジナル曲も手掛けた。映画はBest cultural documentary部門においてGémeaux Awardを受賞。

Praised for his mastery of the eight string guitar, Thomas Carbou is a seasoned musician. With his undeniable taste for improvisation and his desire to surprise, the guitar player, composer, musical arranger, percussionist and sampler unveils a musical landscape without borders where cultures and styles merge smoothly. While combining elements that are often featured in jazz, electro, traditional, world, song, and folk music, Carbou takes us all around the world with his bold and pleasantly complex artistic proposal.
Over the years, Thomas Carbou has successfully collaborated to numerous international artistic projects (in France, Switzerland, Belgium, Spain, Vietnam, the United States, Canada, etc.). He was also awarded the Ville de Québec's Creation/Residence Award, as part of the 2007 Bourse RIDEAU, for his album IN MOTION. A little later, in 2010, he signed the original score for Denis Villeneuve's "Remembering the Ashes - Regards sur Incendies" documentary, directed by Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette (Le Ring et Les Petits géants), which has notably won a Gémeaux Award in the "Best cultural documentary" category.
Whether he is playing solo or collectively, Thomas Carbou is a natural: he inspires and creates, as he breathes.

ミュージシャン/サックス奏者/作曲家/アートプロデューサー
1992年北海道札幌市生まれ。 2000 年より発足した 札幌ジュニアジャズスクール に 2000~2009 年まで在籍し、日豪文化交流プロジェクトで世界的なコンサート ホールであるシドニー・オペラハウスや、横浜ジャズプロムナード等で演奏。
2015 年タイガー大越氏により開催されたバークリー音楽院タイアップの北海 道グルーブキャンプを受講し、最年少で『バークリーアワード賞』を受賞、ボス トン、バークリー音楽院サマープログラムに 2007~ 2009 年奨学生として参加。
2010 年 Terri Lyne Carrington (ds) が指揮する Berklee summer Jazz workshop のメンバーに選抜され奨学生として参加。2011 年、バークリー音楽院に全額奨学生として入学以来、Tiger Okoshi (tp)、 Terri Lyne Carrington (ds), Dayna Stephens(sax) , Terrence Blanchard (tp), Bill Pierce(sax), Jamie Callum (vo,pf), Sean Jones(tp)と共演, Next Generation Jazz Festival, Newport Jazz Festival をはじめとする多くのステージで演奏する。 また在学中に バークリー音楽院より3度にわたり優秀賞受賞。日本国内では2013年南郷ジャズフェスティバル出演、2015 年 8月に TOKU"Dear Mr. Sinatora"のツアーにてBlue Note Tokyo、Billboard Osaka等で演奏。2016 年 4 月よりリニューアル放送を開始したテレビ朝日"報道ステーション"の テーマ曲を自身も所属するバンド " J Squad "で手掛け、同年11月にUNIVERSAL MUSIC JAPANよりアルバム"J-Squad "をリリース。 2017年に同バンドでBlue Note Tokyo、Fuji Rock Festival 17をはじめとする全国6都市で公演を行い、ファッションブランド "TAKEO KIKUCHI" と共同でJ-Squad の衣装スタイリングも担当する。
2016年２月より拠点をニューヨークに移しライブ活動を行いながら、音楽と多ジャンルのアートシーンとのコラボレーションプロジェクトのプロデューサーとしても活動中。
オンラインアートマガジン"Metropolitan Society" ではファッションブランドEngineered Garments のスタイリングブックの作成や自身のプロジェクト 『Lonely Traveler』でモデル/スタイリストを務めるなど活動は多岐にわたる。
Musician /Saxophone player /Art Creator Born in 1992 in Sapporo, Japan. he started playing saxophone when he was 7 years old. He attended Berklee 5 weeks program in 2007, 2008, 2009 as a full scholarship student and he was selected for Berklee Jazz workshop directed by Terri Lyne Carrington in 2015. Since he was awarded full scholarship Berklee College of Music, he has been Performing with greatest musicians, Terence Blanchard(tp), Dayna Stephens(sax), Terri Lyne Carrington(ds), Jamie Callum(vo, pf), Sean Jones(tp), Darren Barrett(tp), Bill Pierce(sax), Tiger Okoshi(tp) After he graduated from Berklee College of Music, he started his career in New York City. One of the his works, the NY based Japanese Band called "J-Squad" that presenting music for the Japanese TV show "Houdou Station" started. On the band, he is composing, playing the saxophone and coordinating the stage clothing that provided by TAKEO KIKUCHI. Also he started collaborating with different kinds of art such as fashion, architecture, painting, plant art, though his music. Especially, he is interested in collaborating with fashion and he has been working with the art magazine named "Metropolitan Society". As a crew of Metropolitan Society creative team, he was modeling/styling for collaboration with Engineered Garments and own project "Lonely Traveler". Also He started working as events producer. He was a member of "Jazz Summit Tokyo Summer Festival 2015'

サンデータイムの2011年のベストジャズ音楽カテゴリーでも５位に入賞。)とピアニストのAlexandre Saada (Malia、Matha Reeves and the Vandellas)だ。彼らのショーはまさに正義を振りかざすようなものではほぼなく、純粋に味わうものであった。美しさと目的が完璧に融合している。
彼らのショーである「Madeleine & Salomon」はフェミニストアメリカンソングブックの情熱を抱擁し、それらを更に親愛という名の最小限の音楽と深くまばゆい詠唱の彩りで包んでいる。彼らのアルバム「A Woman's Journey」が明かすのはNina SimoneからJanis Joplinのような、Billie HolidayからJosephine Bakerのような、優美で予測不可能な人間主義者と反抗的なレパートリーの再解釈である。Madeleineが歌い、Salomonは座ってピアノを奏でる。Madeleine & Salomonは"最小限は最大限"という精神を大切にした、自然体な優雅さをまとうデュオだ。

Madeleine & Salomon is the meeting of two artists with well-established musical visions: the vocalist and flautist, Clotilde (previous album ranked #5 American NPR annual Jazz critics poll 2013 - Debut album category, #5 'Best Jazz' music category 2011 by the SundayTime,) and pianist Alexandre Saada (Malia, Matha Reeves & the Vandellas...). It's one of those shows that to describe it, merely doesn't do it justice, it has to be seen to be fully appreciated. It perfectly combines beauty and purpose. Together, their show 'Madeleine & Salomon' embraces with ardour the feminist American songbook, covering it with loving-kindness tinged with minimalistic music and with a deep and incandescent chant. レユニオン島出身。2011年からこの場所に住むフランス系イラン人アーティストArash KhalatbariことARASHKHAは最新アルバムの「A TRIBUTE TO THE DARK COME」のレコーディングを終えた。 この３枚目のソロアルバムは人々の類似性を賛辞し、アフリカンのルーツや人類の共通点をテーマにしている。 彼の友人であり、仲間でもあるCarmen RIZZOが今回ミックスを行った。プロデューサーはロスでその実力を認められており、EVOKEのアルバム（ARASHKHAは共同制作者）にも名を連ね、COLDPLAYのアルバムや、その他 ALANIS MORISSETTE、SEAL、SAKAMOTO、KHALED、NYAZも手掛けている。
